Wordless Wednesday: Winter Wonderland

This past weekend, the Husband and I made a trip to Jersey to stay at my Dad’s on Friday night, as I had a bridal shower to go to on Saturday morning. We were supposed to just stay until the shower was over, but it snowed like crazy that afternoon! The roads were mega slippery and we just didn’t want to take the normally 1.5 hour trip home in the snow, since it would be both dangerous and end up being a 3+ hour trip. Instead, we stayed at Dad’s another night. When we woke up on Sunday, this is what it looked like from my childhood bedroom window!

There are no filters used on this photo, no color changes made. It was pure gray and white everywhere. It was so pretty! By the time we had breakfast and got dressed, the sun had already been beating down for a couple hours and a lot of it was gone or turning to slush, so I didn’t get a chance to play in it before our trip home (boo!), but I’m glad I got this shot at least! Especially since it will probably be the last of the season. That’s fine, though. I’m ready for Spring!

Will you miss the Winter or are you totally ready for Spring to arrive too?

  1. Being in California with the really mild winters we’ve had lately, it’s almost like it’s already spring time. I like to visit the snow (haven’t been in a long time), but I don’t know if I would be able to live where it snows every winter.

  2. Wow, it’s so pretty and tranquil!

  3. I’m glad you made it home safely! I love snow, but I’m sick of the cold temperatures, so I’m ready to say goodbye to winter.
