Wordless Wednesday: Boardwalk

Wordless Wednesday: Boardwalk

As mentioned yesterday in my National Chocolate Day post, Husband and I went away for a long weekend to celebrate our one-year-married-anniversary. We headed to Atlantic City where we enjoyed free rooms, penny slots, lots of hot chocolates and coffees with Bailey’s while playing said slots, a couple gorgeous days walking the boardwalk and an extensive (and expensive) AC Outlets shopping trip. You wouldn’t think late October would be so nice on the shore, but it was so warm outside we couldn’t even handle wearing our jackets. The above pic is a shot of the boardwalk leading down to the beach, and below is one of the sand!  Continue reading Wordless Wednesday: Boardwalk

Happy National Chocolate Day!

Happy National Chocolate Day! on Katie Crafts; https://www.katiecrafts.com

There are a few holidays I absolutely insist on celebrating because of their sheer importance in this world. National Chocolate Day is obviously one of them. While away on our one-year-anniversary-trip this past weekend, we stopped in a little shop that had a whole section devoted to Milka chocolate bars and other items (surprisingly a Kraft Food’s brand, unsurprisingly not as delicious here as in Europe, but still more wonderful than other chocolates). I bought a couple bars to save for today so that I could celebrate this most holy day! Happy National Chocolate Day, one and all!

How will you be celebrating?

3 Mason Jar Dessert Ideas for the Holidays

I am a BIG fan of DIY gifts during the holiday season. Partly because I never ever have the money to just BUY everyone gifts, but also partly because it gives me such a great reason to put my crafting habit (and supplies) to good use! I still have a dozen jelly jars from past mason jar projects that I want to use for this upcoming season, so I found a few people who served amazing desserts in them and am going to give their ideas a try! Nail Art Design: Halloween Manicure!

Yay! Halloween is almost here! Since the evening of Halloween I will be sporting a plain manicure to go with my costume (I’m dressing up as Blair Waldorf and Husband will be Chuck Bass. <3 Gossip Girl <3 ), I decided to do my Halloween design early this year! Just like last year, I couldn’t decide on just one look and so I painted each of my nails a little differently. They all turned out pretty cute! Continue reading Nail Art Design: Halloween Manicure!
