Last week, Husband and I went on a guided tour of the Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens. I’ve passed it probably a thousand times in the many years I’ve lived here, but somehow never visited. What a shame! The mosaics were SO awesome, and I can’t wait to go back and explore on my own to get more photos. Still, the hundred pics we took during the tour will probably do for now.

A week ago today was my mom’s birthday. She would have turned 62. To celebrate her birthday, I wanted to do something that she would have loved, so Husband and I went to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the afternoon. Project: DIY Mini Sketch Book (or Notebook!)
A few weeks back, I found myself in one of my greatest inspiration stores. Nope, not the fabric store, or the craft store, or even the art store- Home Depot! Seriously, I love it there. We were visiting my Dad for the weekend and painting my childhood bedroom a sunny shade of pale golden yellow. While browsing the paint aisles, I decided to grab a few different paint chip swatches, knowing when I had the time I would be able to find a fun little project to use them for.
