It’s finally starting to feel like Winter here- it was warm for so long that our pot of begonias only JUST kicked the bucket last week! As soon as the thermostat hit 35, Husband and I were yearning for comfort food. We decided a good recipe to make would be slow cooker chicken and dumplings! It came out great! Grilled Chicken Kabobs
One of my favorite things about the Summer is grilling pretty much everything! After a long day yesterday, Husband and I decided to take the chicken and veggies we were going to make for dinner and stick them on skewers for the grill instead! Continue reading Grilled Chicken Kabobs
Mom’s Chicken Cutlets
Recipe: Mom’s Chicken Cutlets
One of the earliest things I remember helping my mom cook was her chicken cutlets. She’d lay out three bowls (one for flour, one for eggs, and one for breadcrumbs) and let me dip the chicken in to each, carefully coating it on each side. It made my fingers disgusting, but I loved every minute of it. Especially because I knew it meant very soon I’d get to eat my mother’s amazing chicken cutlets. Continue reading Mom’s Chicken Cutlets
Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Chicken

A few weeks ago after I made the Bang-Bang Chicken, I decided I wanted to try another recipe from Pinterest. I settled on something I could make in the crock pot, since those are by far my favorite meals. I found a recipe for slow cooker pulled BBQ chicken and made a bunch of adjustments to it, until it was pretty damn perfect. I will definitely be making this again soon- it was the easiest thing I’ve ever made in the crock pot and it was SO good!! Continue reading Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Chicken

I immediately repinned it to my “Things To Eat” board and kept it in the back of my mind for future reference. When I was making my shopping list last week, I looked up the recipe from Damn Delicious and added the ingredients to my list. I’m so glad I did! Continue reading Bang Bang Chicken Recipe
Maple Walnut Pecan Chicken
Recipe: Maple Walnut Pecan Chicken
I love a good baked chicken recipe- especially one that only takes 30 minutes to make! My friend (hey Hoffff!) made it for me a few years ago and I loved it. The following week I made it for my husband and he loved it. Then I made it for my Dad and Sister a few weeks after that and they loved it. Then my Dad made it for my Aunt and well- you can see where this is going. It’s obviously a winner in our family- and hopefully it will be in yours too!
